The Flying J Ranch was founded by James and Cindy Hobbs in 1982. For nearly 40 years, the couple has worked together to make the Flying J Chuckwagon a very special place for families to gather and enjoy. Together they raised their three children in Lincoln County, NM. Over the years, visitors from all over the world could often find the entire Hobbs family working at the Flying J Ranch, side by side.

In the fall of 2015, their eldest daughter Emily was married at the Flying J. Emily and her husband Mickey have since taken over the wedding side of the business at the ranch. They currently live and work at the property, with their two sons.
